Designed by the Los Angeles office of NBBJ along with local architects Fei & Cheng Associates, Taiwan’s Chinatrust Bank (CTB) new development is set for completion in 2012. When all is done, it will incorporate the best of traditional Chinese design with green features to create an ambient and tranquil atmosphere that is designed to save on energy usage.
The development will consist of a 30-story headquarters building, a 21-story commercial office building, a 10-story hotel, and a 4-level retail center. But the brilliant-green aspect is that it will incorporate eco-friendly aspects such as podium covered in lush roof gardens, that helps reducing rainwater runoff and urban-heat-island effect. And although it doesn’t make the structure a zero-energy building, it’s still enough to make it the Taiwanese equivalent of a LEED Gold rating.
Working closely with our distributors in Taiwan, C/S has received a louver order for RS-3105 and LSM4 models with a value of USD100,000. Besides this louver product, we are also close in securing another order for the EJC of around USD650,000, which will probably be the largest single EJC order for C/S in Taiwan ever!
